Kent Ridge Outlier 6.2km 700m
Short but steep off-trail hike with some route-finding needed. Wide open ridge with some exposure.
King Creek Ridge 7km 730m
Daffern vol. 1 (4th edition), hike#43 Out and back along the ridge. Very steep ascent to ridge on a trail. Poles very helpful for going down.
Lake Minnewanka parking lot to Aylmer Lookout 26 km, 840 m
Long hike; popular with bears; may be snow covered in places
Lakeshore trail AFATP, 6 km
Can add going down Louise Creek to village if time permits.
Laughing Falls and return: 9 Km, 125m
A pleasant hike along the Yoho River from Takakkaw Falls Parking to Laughing Falls. There are several short side trips to see other falls and Duchesnay Lake along the way.
Lineham Ridge (to the ‘post’) – 14km, 710+m
2013 flood water made a mess of the creekbed and eroded the banks. Look for flagging indicating reroutes. This trail is best done midsummer or later due to water in the creek. Daffern V5-27
